Ever so often we are met with a project that challenges our creativity, knowledge of design and ingenuity. Mr Narasimhamurthy approached us to build his home with a universal accessibility design. This meant maintaining a “zero level difference” throughout the 8500 sq ft.
The house is being constructed on a beautiful, 1.4-acre plot. So the design was made with a modern and minimalist theme in mind. We placed the residence in the centre of the plot so breathtaking views would be accessible from every direction. A special feature we added was to detail each deck with a floating effect so the home felt “lifted from the ground”. Our design was quite literally housed by a new, suave pitched roof design inspired by the client’s requests.
Lastly, we added many serene elements like water bodies, mounds, a gazebo, long pathways, some fruit and flower-bearing plants and evergreen teak and silver oak trees through the landscape design to evoke a sense of peace, calm and tranquility.
